Quilting Pioneers on the Oregon Trail

Retrace the steps of our pioneering foremothers as they migrated westward along the Oregon trail. We will travel by Conestoga wagon, surrey and horseback in the Bridger National Forest to the Lander Pass, a short cut through the mountains along the trail. We will arrive two days ahead of our wagon trip to acclimatize as we’ll be going up to 8,700 feet and also to spend a day quilting at the ranch. We will provide kitted hand work projects that you can then continue to work on along the trail. Also, Sunday we will be visited by a local historian who will sketching out who these people were who set off on a journey, what they left behind, what they encountered along the way, what they took with them...

Our last night will be spent in log condos overlooking a creek. "Shower!" will be our mantra, so we will have dinner brought in and eat by the creek overlooking the stupendous Wyoming view one last time before hitting the sack (a real bed!) to get up and head on our way back to real life. Or, one could stay in Jackson a extra day or two or go on to Yellowstone.
